08 Apr First train from China via Euroports Germany in Rostock

With 49 containers, the train of the so-called „New Silk Road“ started in Xi’an and made its way to the port of Kaliningrad. From there the ship “ MV Dornbusch“ of Mannlines started its journey to Rostock. This night the vessel reached EUROPORTS General Cargo Terminal GmbH in Rostock and the team started to discharge the vessel at 0600h. Some of the containers were loaded directly onto a block train with destination Duisburg. The distribution of further containers is carried out via EUROPORTS intermodal terminal “Rostock Trimodal GmbH” to Verona and via ferry to Trelleborg. Weekly trains are expected to follow. First vessel performance was perfectly fine, good job.
