Our history

The history of EUROPORTS Germany is also the history of the Rostock overseas port. In 1960, shortly after the overseas port was opened, 471,300 tonnes of goods were already handled here. Not only the goods tonnage increased continuously, but also the number of employees.

Today, over 350 employees work at EUROPORTS Germany and its subsidiaries.

2021

Grosstanklager-Ölhafen Rostock becomes 100% subsidiary of Euroports Germany

2012

Sale of the remaining 50 % of the shares of Seehafen Rostock Umschlaggesellschaft to EUROPORTS

2010

Foundation and start of business operations of the Ferry Stevedoring Rostock GmbH (FSR)

2007

Sale of 50% of the shares of Seehafen Rostock Umschlaggesellschaft to BBI LUX. (Today EUROPORTS)

2004

Rostock Trimodal GmbH (RTM) becomes operator of the Intermodal terminal

2003

Outsourcing of the operative business to the 100% subsidiaries GSR, DDR, BTR, GCT and PLU at the 1st of January

1997

Sale of the Seehafen Rostock Umschlaggesellschaft shares to Albermale Investments Ltd.

1996

Grosstanklager-Ölhafen Rostock GmbH takes over the Business operations as of 1st of January

Seehafen Rostock Umschlaggesellschaft takes over the Business operations as of 1st of April
